what plane are you putting the 65la on, that the muffler will hit the fuse
A super skybolt
here's where the caution flags go up, not to sound harsh being a knarley surfer myself, but if your new to nitro planes a superskybolt is a fairly acrobatic, please tell me you have been flying electric acrobatic planes or simmilar types its far from a beginner airframe, also the LA series of engines is on the low end of the power spectrum of OS engines there not bad but a 55AX or 61fx would blow it out of the water.
BTW forget the spacer save that money and get a pits style muffler so your pipe isn't hanging out of the cowl.

you just need to verify the mounting hole messurements I would call tower to confirm the ## before ordering the muffler, the 65LA looks like the one for the 61fx
Yes yes this is my first NITRO plane, not my first first plane. I have someone at the club who has been flying for over 20 years there to fly it first too
