I went over and helped him today. I can say without a doubt, it is physically impossible to mount the Greves pipes without cutting something. We ended up leaving both mounts undone until the pipes were in. We ended up cutting about 3/4 of an inch off the stinger. There was just no other way around it. Even with the mounts unscrewed, the stingers were so long that you could not turn them so they could exit the fuselage at the rear. With what we cut off, you could still just barely rotate them around.

Bottom line, we got them in with very little modification to the stinger. Just out of curiosity, why do you wish you hadn't cut any of the stinger off?
