Yah, they were just too long in their stock configuration. The pipes now exit about 1 inch from from the plane, so I think it will be fine. The stingers were WAAAAY longer than those in the pictures of the manual. Cutting them was necessary, but a minor issue at best.

Thanks for getting back to us. What a great plane. To see this thing up close and personal is unbelievable! Just the sheer size and detail of this plane. The interior construction looks unbelievable! What a great job!
