My Somethin Extra flies real good and lands slow with a .46ax and 12x4 apc. Don't know what your first plane was, but the Somethin Extra is very responsive and has tremendous control surfaces compared to a trainer. Have an instructor help you maiden it. I haven't flown my Escapade yet, I'll give you my opinion in a few days. Everyone who has flown and posted about it has been very positive. I've started a review on it in the product review forum but it won't be complete for a few more days.
