I'm looking for a good "second" plane and need some help. I have a .48 engine and price range of no more than $300. I wondering if the endeaver would be a good one.[sm=confused.gif]

My Somethin Extra flies real good and lands slow with a .46ax and 12x4 apc. Don't know what your first plane was, but the Somethin Extra is very responsive and has tremendous control surfaces compared to a trainer. Have an instructor help you maiden it. I haven't flown my Escapade yet, I'll give you my opinion in a few days. Everyone who has flown and posted about it has been very positive. I've started a review on it in the product review forum but it won't be complete for a few more days.

Hangar 9 UltraStick. It is a shoulder wing so it is more responsive without getting too touchy. It has instructions for both tricycle and tail dragger setups so with an extra piece of plywood, you can set it up for both. That way you can set it up for tricycle gear, and when you get comfprtable with it you can remove the nose wheel, and move the main gear forward and start getting used to taildragger. It is like getting two planes in one. Also it wont be as bad as transitioning from a high wing trike to a low wing tail dragger.

I would second something like the GP Escapade. YOu still arent a pro so dont go nuts spending on something that might still got knocked around a little. What was your first plane? I had a Hanger 9 Pulse...with a .46 on it. LOVED IT! Also take a look at the Hobbico Avistar - Even though its a "trainer" It is more capable than your regular boring high wing...LOVED THIS ONE TOO. Again also look at Escapade. Dont go nuts spending money on cool planes until you know you are a good flyer - seriously.

If you're real proficient with the Superstar and can make it do anything you want, land it anywhere you want, etc. then you should be able to handle the Somethin Extra or the Escapade. I would be cautious with either plane. Start with low rates and get an intructor for the first flight. The Avistar is a great plane, I have two of them. I wouldn't really consider it that big a step from the Superstar, but it is faster and more aerobatic. It flies more like a sport plane than most trainers, and I will always keep at least one in my hangar.

If you are going to fly RC planes,...........you have got to have a Stick!!!!!!!!!
I own a Pulse XT 60/Saito 100, Sig Kadet/Evolution .46, Ultra Stick 40/Saito .56, and a Fliton Extra 330/ Saito .82. If I could only keep one it would be the Stick. When I just want to get out and fly, this plane is perfect. It is not the fastest, most aerobatic, or prettiest plane out there but it does a little bit of everything better than any of them.

Sorry about that.
