Just out of curiosity, why do you need to extend your battery charge lead? I really see no need to do that unless you are wanting to charge your battery while it's still in the heli. (Not a good idea) Lipo batterys require some diligence and care to avoid issues. I would think cutting the battery charge leads and extending them might not have the results you want. One bad solder joint or a short across the leads can cause a very inconvienent issue to arise.
Maybe i am missing the question and you are wanting to extend your discharge lead. If you decide you definately have to extend whichever lead, make SURE you only cut one wire at a time and solder then cover with shrink tubing before going on to the next. At least this way you will avoid having any 2 wires contacting each other. (Ask me how I know) It only takes a split second to turn those little packs into a smoking puffing mess. Luckily for me i was in a place where flinging the whole mess outside was easy to do. Be careful and take your time.
