It is true that sometimes there is no choice but to add weight. I look at it as a personal failure if I have to add dead weight.
Relax and take it easy, it's a HOBBY! Don't be so hard on yourself on account of 2 or 3 oz. of lead needed.
90% of the planes I've built needed a touch of lead... I still remain confident and maintain an upbeat attitude among my peers.
