Hey guys,
I've got exactly the same problem with my son's (ha!) mato Tiger.... when I try and elevate the gun, I hear a whirring and some clicks, but no elevation. The airsoft gun still work though.
Wish I was in Alberta too! If you two do connect to open the tiger up and fix the problem, any chance you could snap a few photos as you diagnose and fix the problem? Maybe we're having a similar issue with our Tigers.

Yours sounds like the unit is working but like Ern mentioned maybe the spring has pop out! ( Great tip by Ern to glue it down ) Back to your problem you may have a sre loose or out on your supports allowing the whole gun mechanism to squew to the side! Open her up and you should be able to spot it! Here is anohter tip for those that want a simple faster turret elevation, install the Panzer III elevation unit it is much smaller so the cam time is shorter! Now you loose a little span, but not much and you will need to move the stand offs for the unit to fit right, cut with a dremil, plastic fusion to the new spot done!
