Default RE: Which Cub to buy, H9 or GP

ORIGINAL: Denting7

Be wary of Richmond planes and products, For the most part they are CHEAP, dollar wise & quality wise. Ordering from them is a pain in the ass and god help you if you have any problems with your order. They are impossible to deal with. Their engine test stand is a piece of junk, and I bought their Beaver, even for the price it was not worth it.

AK models was great to deal with in my opinion, No I am not a 30 year rc flight veteran, so I have not seen the difference in quality from different arfs in this world. But I have to say I had no problems, I ordered the model and had it 3 days later, packaged well and the covering was tight and done well, yes I chose to beef up the model in a few key locations but I have not put one together yet that I havent had to fortify to some extent, I have no problems with GP or H9, they have good products. For me the price was right and I am very happy with the model. The weight listed is a little on the light side, after beefing up the lg and wing mounting locations, adding the H9 landing gear the plane weighed in around 8 lbs, I have a OS 46 fxi on it and it is by no means overpowered, It flys scale, I will likely go up to a 55 or 60 to have a little power to play with, all told though, Ive got 130.00 in the plane with the H9 gear and the extra materials to sturdy it up a little, and It has handled everything a newer pilot has put it through with very little damage. Just my 2 pennys!
