Finally got to fly my caps last weekend. Havent had the front cowl on yet, still breaking in the motor, went with the rcgf 45cc gas motor..
This is my third plane, first gasser....just moved up from a GP RV4...I have seven flights on her now, flys great, getting use to it being supper responsive compaired to what i just graduated from....I am having a helluva time landing it. Are runway is 300 ft long with a fence at both ends of it to clear. This plane does not want to land! I am wondering if flapperons would work on this plane to slow it down on the landing approach?
No cowling, probably tail heavy. If you put the cowling on it'll probably stop ballooning on landing. If not you need more nose weight. But with a gas engine I can't see why you'd need more nose weight. They are a pound more than glow including ignition and battery/switch.
