fuel tank sounds good but be aware that if any fuel residue gets on tape the tape will loose its stickiness. tanks usually will not leak for the first year but the bung hole can get loose after awhile and allow small amount of fuel to leak. this is also a good reason to fuel proof the tank compartment.
