The RDS8000 is compatible with Futaba connectors, however there is a tab on the connector that needs to be removed- not a big deal at all, just a pair of side cutters or razor knife or even a finger nail file...

I just got my RDS8000 and I am very impressed with it- its a very nice radio!!
