Default RE: DL-50 engine

Off topic of cleaning. Can you guys show me how the opto kill sitch works please. I am really leaning towards getting one because I was thinking if I loose the throttle and it goes full on me I am sh%t out of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heres a link to the instructions for the 42% one, with wiring diagram

http://www.dlenginesaustralia.com/docs/optogaskill.pdf

Goes inline between ignition power switch and igniton. And also has a lead that goes to spare channel on your RX.

Assign channel to switch (ie landing gear for example) and ignition is turned off/on remotely from TX (in addition to mechanical switch on your airframe) and has a remote mountable LED to show you when ignition is armed.

If you rx loses power it will kill the ignition

If your rx loses signal it will kill the ignition (unless you are using Failsafe and have set the channel it is plugged into to hold, in that case it will keep the engine running, obviously if you lose power to rx, failsafe is also off air, but no power at rx feature kicks in and the killswitch will cut the motor anyway)

If something happens to your throttle link etc, you can kill the motor at any time using the switch on your TX. If your rx is off air it will kill it anyway (as mentioned above)

In USA you can by 42% ones direct from www.42-percent-products.com as well as several other dealers such as ValleyViewRC.

We sell to Aust/NZ and rest of world, excluding USA

Cheers
