I would change the throttle rod a little so that the end of the rod is lined up with the direction of travel. You can make the bends out of metal 2-56 rod and screw the piece into the plastic rods you are using. You want to make sure the junction between the two is inside the guide tube, far enough that it doesn't come out with servo movement. Notice how the ends of all the other rods are parallel to the airframe.

But truthfully I don't know how much it matters, if any.
