RE: glue
The following is about using thin CA. When I am using Thin CA, I align the parts and then apply the adhesive. The CA will wick into the joint and bond the parts together perfectly. I see people state what you have said, and have wondered if they understand how to use this product. A perfect example of how I use CA is when assembling a wing panel. Assemble the ribs onto tha spars and add the leading edge(s) and trailing edges. When all is aligned, drip a single drop of CA onto every joint and your done. Thin CA isn't always the right tool for the job.
The alphatic Resin Glue you've linked to at Tower Hobbies, is a fine glue type. It is also available at your local hardware store as Elmer's or Titebond and may be cheaper there. I use Alpatic Resin and the poly glues also. Alphatic resin should not be exposed to moisture.
