The advantages of the futaba are programmable switches (you can tell a switch what to do as opposed to a given factory setting), expo on the rudder ( no biggie) and a few small programming differences (does futaba have triple rates?) I have the airtronics and like it, but would rather have the futaba for the small extra features, although I guess I might be into a little more than just sport flying. Right now airtronics only has one type or receiver with more due out in may, but no talk of a micro receiver yet.
