I'm pretty sure that you can't use the Hitec as a buddy box for the Futaba. You'll need to have another Futaba as the buddy box.

But once you get the correct buddy box it works like this. The master radio is turned on and the buddy box is left off. You will have control of the aircraft until you use the training switch. Once you use that the buddy box will have control until you release the training switch
