One of the first things I bought when I got into this hobby was a buddy box. I keep it ready to go with my trainer in case I have a friend who wants to go fly with me. Mine is a stripped down Futaba Skysport 4 channel with the old round plug. When I upgraded to a newer Futaba Compuer radio I just got the adapter cable from Tower. You may want to consider just buying a buddy box set-up of your own. You may be surprised how much you use it. Mine has alot of miles on it over the past 13 years but it still works like a champ. And it is still compatible with the new computer radios.
