I've never seen a Kadet, as far as I know, but it has been around for a long time. If it was bad it probably would not still be available.

It does have one 'feature' that I consider a negative for a beginner plane. It has a molded cowl on the front. New pilots tend to nose planes in when learning to land which tends to break cowls.
