Default RE: 4 Stroke engine vs. 2 Stroke

ORIGINAL: Avaiojet

Should I stop living in the past with my older but not used engines?
Not at all. The engines you have are very nice. Enya, Moki and Webra.......... None of those engines are turds. All fine quality angines and I would use what you have on hand.

Should I just consider new engines which are made better, lighter, and are more reliable. Or are they?

I wouldn't buy new engines. My initial reaction was that the 1.20 engines wouldn't do the job. But everyone else seams to be about 95% in agreement that either the Webra 1.20 2-strokes or the Enya 1.20 4-strokes would do the job. You have 2 of each engine. I'd pick one of those. The 4-strokes would probably sound a lot better and would be more efficient on fuel. Given the choice between the Webra or the Enya, I'd probably use the Enya engines as long as you already have 2. They will fly it.

If it weighs 20 pounds when you're done then you will need those 1.20 engines.
