I am putting together the Goldberg Skylark as my second plane. Hope I chose right!!

Cheers

That's a great plane. I have the 70 size and it flys like a pattern plane. I had the smaller version, my third plane actually. I loved that plane. I was flying it when I should not have been flying it. The wind was stronger than my capabilities allowed and as a result, well, I took it home in a basket. I did, however, get about 20 - 25 flights out of it, with total enjoyment. A wonderful flying aircraft. You will definitely enjoy it.

By the way, mine had an OS 52 Surpass four stroke. I don't recommend that at all. The process of getting that engine in that small engine compartment was a real pain. The design is more suited to a two stroke engine than a four stroke. In this case, the throttle is on the opposite side as it was on a two stroke. That caused some interesting problems. I ended up shaving some of the wood from the inside of the cheek to get clearance for the throttle linkage. And, getting the linkage to where it was rather than where it was designed to be was a challenge, especially for a fairly new RC'er.

Best of luck with it. You will enjoy the way it flys.
