TOM,
You have mentioned using thermocouples and some sort of onboard telemetry device to record temperature during flight. I've been looking for such a gizmo and have not had any luck. I was wondering if you could help point me in the right direction, thanks.
Hi Jody
Im using the eagle tree v3 Logger, and couple of temp loop sensors, alt, rpm on the DL-100 install in my airframe, works a treat. Didnt got the full telemetry/wireless system, just the small elogger..logger etc, and didnt work out too expensive. You can buy locally easy enough, mine I bought through hobby city, $50 for the logger and about $10 each sensor. Had some pics of the install, somewhere, will try and find them and post them up.
Gives some good info, amazing how much a prop unloads in the air, and intersting see each cylinder temp changes etc. You can muck around with baffles etc, and see real results, rather than percieved. Well worth the $ in my opinion...
Guys a EagleTree give good backup support too
Cheers
Scott.
