I hold full up on tail draggers during taxi until I'm lined up and in the take off roll. I ease out elevator as speed builds to keep the tail wheel active. After a few feet your elevator should be neutral and the rudder should be able to keep you strait (with a little right rudder as noted). Ease up on power as you ease off the elevator. With the tail now high and a good head of speed, a slight back pressure will get her into the air. If you are transitioning from trainer types with trike gear, just remember to keep full up for taxi, or you will be buying more props.

This all is really much easier than it reads, and we are only talking about the first 5 to 7 seconds of a 12 minute flight.
