RE: field box
Ijust recently retired my plastic Craftsman tool box Iwas using as a flight box. It held the battery and starters (for helis and planes) in the bottom. It held various hand tools
on the second shelf and the top shelf held screw drivers, allen wrenches, and other various wrenchs.
Ireplaced it with a Plano 7271 fishing tackle box. It has 3 small tray in the front left sidethat holds the screw drivers, wrenches, allen wrenches, and spare accessories. There is a small compartment on the right side that Ihave the starter battery in. Thereare smallpartsbins on the lid that holdglow plugs, 4-way wrenches, radiocrystals, foam tape, velcro strips, exacto blades. Ihave both starters, voltmeter, various typesof pliers, and temp gunin the top tray and a power panel mounted in a seperate box on the right side.
The box is tall enough and heavy enough to place beside a plane against the wing to hold the plane from forward movement while starting. Icaninclude pictures if anyone is interested in how it is set up.
