Default RE: Hangar 9 hellcat

H9 Hellcat, mostly stock. Magnum 91 2s engine, Futaba 2.4 radio system, 2300 mah 4 cell battery, 9.3 lbs, 110 flights since last June. Our field is at 3800' ASL. Has a petromat runway, so its a smooth surface.

Added ply behind the firewall and drilled new holes for engine mounting bolts so I could install the engine inverted with a pitts style muffler.

Ran 1/8" dowels through cowl mounting blocks.

Glued strips of flat carbon fiber along the bottom/back of each side of the horizontal stab. So far no flutter.

Needed 2 oz on the tail to balance.

Its a good flying plane. I don't push it, but I fly it quite often.

Good luck,

Brian
