I run 2100 to 2450 mah 3s with my a30 10xl, 14x7 Xoar prop for8 to 12 minute flights.

I run a phoenix 45 amp SC so not familiar with the Thunderbird 54. Tower says it's good for 3s only but thats good for swinging larger props. Start with a 13x7ish prop and maybe try a 14x7 but watch the batteries for heating up.
