Yes batchelc,
I did that on my original build. Remember reading about it somewhere that it wood make the hinge more flexible. There were three 1 inch slots in the top skin across the width of the control hinge. For some reason my weight was a little high. Build was supposed to be around 5lb 10 oz. My spadette weighed in at a whopping 6lb 10 oz. Took forever to get off the ground but would fly at less than half throttle. Put a Fox 45 on it today. Trying it out Sunday to see what the change will do. Would do it Saturday but I live 40 miles from the flying field.
