Is that the original engine? From the looks of the cut out in the cowl, I am guessing there was originally a 4-stroke engine installed.</p>

That might explain why the cown didnt have a cutout for the 2 stroke muffler?
I dont know the history of this plane.
I started the engine today and notices the firewall flexing. I got the NOGO from the gurus at the feild.. I agreed.
I'll have to remove the engine and double up the firewall.
