I sent you a pm regarding the flameout, however I wanted to offer a tip on the landing gear. I also run my main gear in the stock location with 3" main wheels. I found out that if I got my tail as close to the ground as possible by using a 3/4" tailwheel and sullivan gear with the wire bent as close to the rudder as possible without hitting and allowing room for flex...it kinda shifted the weight so to speak towards the rear and the plane taxi's extremely well with absolutely no tendency to nose over at all on a well mowed runway. Before I lowered the tail it took full up elevator to hold the tail down, but now I can taxi around the field like driving an RC truck.
