im pretty new to nitro also so take my advice with caution. first, i dont know anything about rechargable starters but i would say that you should fully charge it then try again. also, did you follow the proper steps in breaking an engine in? did you prime the engine? by hitting the prop hard you could hurt the prop so it is dented(depends on how hard you hit it). i used a broom stick for awhile and twice i acutualy did not flip the prob all the way throught the cumbustion cycle and the engine kicked and started backwards also would recomend an electric starter. SOOOOOOOO Much easier. if you were REALY trying to flip the prop through and it did not budge you could have hydro locked the engion.
