anyways, i'm considering a cyclone for a CS drifter. any advice?
Cyclones are good candidates for the CS mod. Several people have already done it with success. Example

Belt drive cars are the easiest to do a CS mod since swapping diff pulleys is easier. With shaft drives, I think its in the suspension. I remember seeing a CS shaft drive video with a car that had an insane amount of negative camber on all 4 wheels. It had a Japanese description so I really don't know.
