Default Countersteer drifting

So does anybody here to CS drifting?
i was on groovydrift a while ago and they said that it took a tire speed ratio of 1:2 F:R to get long continuous countersteer through the slide.
i was hoping it'd be less and that i might be able to make up for it with tire size because i have a tt01, and modding that for overdrive is a b*tch to do.

anyways, i'm considering a cyclone for a CS drifter. any advice?

this sounds interesting. please elaborate on how this is done, and/or if it has been done. i've had friends try different front and rear tire combinations (pvc, rubber drift tires, rubber grip, etc.) with no success.

Cyclones are good candidates for the CS mod. Several people have already done it with success. Example

Belt drive cars are the easiest to do a CS mod since swapping diff pulleys is easier. With shaft drives, I think its in the suspension. I remember seeing a CS shaft drive video with a car that had an insane amount of negative camber on all 4 wheels. It had a Japanese description so I really don't know.

just now realized what's going on here.

so, for this counter steer setup, the gearing is modified so that the rear wheels spin twice as fast as the front. and this makes it so that when you counter steer, the front tires don't pull the nose straight, thusmaking for long countersteered drifting, right?

this sounds wicked. hopefully there's a way i can do this to my tt-01d. someone needs to make a set of gears or whatever it takes and sell it as a CS Conversion Kit.

I've read people complain that CSis just for show and it actually harder to drift. Dunno... I've never tried it...

Thats true its only for show. And yes, it is hard to drift with a CS mod because you don't have steering to help you through a turn if you mess up.

Right. A car with a CS mod has the rear wheels turn 2 times for every single turn the front wheels have. So the rear is spinning more often making a lot of oversteer.

its not just for show, it makes the drift more realistic, it also reacts differently than a non CS car so its hard to tandem a CS car vs. a non CS car.

that's what i want to hear (CS being just for show) because then i won't be compelled to sell my tt-01d and get a cyclone (or whatever chassis) to do this.

but it doesn't seem out of the question for the ring gears and prop shaft end gears to be replaceable if different sizes were made for the tt01. perhaps that might happen if counter steer drifting gets big.
