RE: Calypso Finished
Thanks David.
The first couple of flights where a bit nerve racking when the ailerons started jittering, but it's been fantastic since moving the regulator. The aileron extensions came out of the wing and ran right over the regulator, getting interferance or RF noise. I swapted the regulator location with the receiver and no more problem.
The runways (yes there are two, North/South, East/West) are princes bermuda grass cut at just one inch tall. The club spent almost $70,000 putting in the new runways. The runways each measure 75 feet wide by 500 feet long and they're absolutely smooth. I mowed the runways this afternoon. I'm one of three guys who mow three times a week. It's a lot of work to maintain but well worth the effort. We actually have the kind of flying facility that every RC pilot dreams about.
Yeah I notice the tags and tried to edit but that didn't work so just left them go.
