RE: hayes hinges
While I have used CA hinges, I really don't care for them, and have had them rip in flight (and seen others with the same issue). Those Hayes hinges will work, and I have used that style (Hayes and Sig) in the past but there are better hinges to use.
I prefer either [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD941&P=K]Pinned Hinges[/link] or [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=&FVSEARCH=robart+HINGE+POINT++&s earch=Go]Robart Hinge Points[/link] since Klett pinned hinges are no longer available and I've just about exhausted my supply of them.
Any time you flex plastic it will start to create a failure line at the point where its being flexed. Pinned hinges don't have that problem with a steel pin to rotate around. If you use [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCX67&P=7]ZAP hinge glue[/link] they won't pull out either. I always use a piece of toothpick to anchor my hinges into the wood just out of habit for safety.
