I called George about a replacement wing for my son's Speed Air and he told me about the Spitfire models and found out the same thing. Too bad, it'd look great with retracts.
I am making a mock up for a muffler so the JTEC guys can make one for me. I think it'll all fit inside the cowling OK.
I think I'll dress up the gear with Robart strut covers and wheels and add some scale-like gear doors.
It's for my 12 year old son too, so that's why all of the care and grooming on an 80 dollar ARF!
