Leo is right.To get my powered hood to work properly I had no option but to cut all three channels out and replace them with the correct profile.The brass K&S tubes had the slot cut in them by a dremel drill bolted down to a piece of ply,a hardwood rail to act as a fence guide , and the brass tube fed into the cutting wheel several times to cut the slot.Hope this makes sense.
As for the pilot he could be made out of resin,may be on the heavy side but would be easy to detail.So i am going to have a shot at him,Ive been looking for 2


dremel have a routing tool that clamps to a bench, you can safely and easily cut slots using a cut off wheel in the dremel tool. That is how I made the channels for my P47.
