Actually, Sears did honor the warrenty and gave us a new engine. I continued to use this same mower until just a few years ago when I finally retired it. I guess we probably used this thing for about 20 years total. Of course we were more careful about what we poured into it!

Of course it's a shame lawn equipment doesn't have a voice recorder, I guess the most common recording would be:
"What the hell made it do that?"
