i think you might have something running hidden in the background that's causing it to flux, if anything i would check for a virus or adware or something cause if its jumping that much then something other then the prog itself causing the issue.
Igot the latest verions of Spybot and AVG8.5. I'll run those and then try Ad aware and Avast to see if they can find anything.

Is "prog""program"?
