I put a small ABC extinguisher in all of my vehicles after I watched a coworkers jeep burnon the side ofthe road after she ran over a cardboard box that blew out of the truck in front of her. She was in traffic and had nowhere to swerve to miss the box. The exhaust almost immediately ignited the box because it was already burning too much to pull it from beneath the jeep when she got stopped. A $15 extinguisher could have easily put the box out or at least slowed it down enough that she may have been able to remove it from under the truck before it caught fire. By the time a couple of other good samaritans stopped with fire extinguishers the canvas top and theinterior of the jeep was on fire and there was nothing they could do.

It is easy to come up withmany scenarios in my headwhere a fire extinguisher would be needed at the field. Cheap insurance in my opinion.
