Default RE: FIRE or OH %&#@ !!!

I'm required by law to carry one in my work vehical, and for my jobsites, but I installed one in my jeep because the guy's I go wheelin with didn't think to carry one, ever wonder what the temp of a catalitic coverter is? they internal core of about 1000-1200 degrees, the surface can be around 500-800 degrees, not too hard to light the grass on fire when driving nice and slow through the fields at times. I once had a car burn, if it wasn't for a old guy who lived in the farm house running out with his extinguisher, my car would have been history. So yes, without thinking about it, I do carry one in my vehical, and I change it out every year, a small ABC will run you less than a gallon of fuel for the planes, but will save the field, you flight box and your plane if needed.
