Default RE: EVSD-5U-PRO Multi-Function Valve help

I did that, no joy.

Chad at Sin City has the same valve in his BARF and it does the same thing. He has to run in mode 1 and keep the nose door open all the time, he would like to used mode two and clean that door up but he has the same problem I do. I do find it interesting that in mode 1 with the gear up and the doors closed if you power up the system it blows the doors open and the gear down at the same time, but in mode 2 it holds the doors shut.

Now chad advised me to let this "leaf in the trail" go and move on to something else but I had to keep thinking about it. This is only a problem on the first deployment of the day. Once the gear is down and the doors in the right place everything is normal. I have a solution, although for 470 bucks I should not have to come up with a solution, but what if you did this....

You get to the field, you assemble your jet, air tanks are empty (because you purged them as per instructions after last flying session, right?). Now you have everything hooked up and you boot the system, nothing happens because you have no air in the system....This is where my solution comes in. The goal is to open the doors and extend the gear, right? Right! Well, I figure you could put a fill valve in line with the door down line and the gear down line. This way you could blow the doors open with you air supply (compressor) and then blow down the gear. Presto! Gear is out and doors are not tweaked. Now you can fill your air tanks and get on with your day, Just always remember to shut down the system with the gear down.

At the end of the day you put the gear up and turn off system, disconnect airlines and purge the air tanks and you are ready for the next flying session!

So, a couple of quick steps and we have the problem solved. I might just shoot a video and post it so you see what I mean...

What do you think?

And Sandor...how would I know if my valve is toast??
