2.4 is definitely good but NOT perfect. Like others are saying, you still need to have a good setup with good components and FWIW I, purely by accident, placed the antena of my DX7 within about 8 to 10 ins of a major brand servo which just happened to be installed on my ailerons. Said servo went nuts. Tried it on the other side same song second verse. Tried it on my HiTec HS7955-TG's, nada (not sure why the HiTec's didn't pick it up). I have learned a lot about the need to keep RF emiting components away from radio equipment because of this little incident.
