These improve "hole shot" coming outta the corners. Simply put, they improve snap and accelleration for an instance when the carb is brought to WOT. If you think about it, why don't you see the guys on the pro circuit using them?.... because they are obsolete technology. They were big in the '80-'90's but engines have come a long way since then.
