I agree with everyone else, get a buddy cord. On my first flight (even after a whole summer of practice on the sim) if I wasn't on the buddy box I wouldn't have a plane right now (2 years later). But I know some people that taught themselves and it worked fine. Also it takes alot of runway to land when your just learning. So I hope you have alot of room.
