The weight is fine. Mine weighs 10.5 due to fabric and paint. My wing - 2.75 lbs Fuse - 7.75 lbs.

Finally I know what carbon fiber gear is all about - I officially love carbon fiber! Mine bounced a hard landing a couple weeks ago and it bounced like a trampoline. Brilliant! That sound a model makes when it touches down on a hard landing, when you can hear every part of the airplane straining in that split second - do you know that sound? - with carbon fiber that sound is so much different, can't describe it other than the fact you hear the wheels spin up fast, and the gear takes up the stress, it sounds "right." And after a hard landing it doesn't need to be re-bent like aluminum.
