Check to make sure that your tail rotor is rotating counter clockwise when viewed from the right side of the helicopter
Contrary to what some believe, it will work fine spinning in either direction...as long as the tail blades are mounted so the leading edge is going correctly.
I agree with Flying Foot Doc...check what he suggested.

I agree with that too, even some full scale choppers don't rotate into the rotor down wash. What I meant was what you said in the second half of the post, with the leading edge traveling in the right direction. Seen that once. Made the tail act funny. Not even sure how it got airborne.
