Default RE: Flyzone J3 Piper Cub ordered

Sorry to hear about your recent purchase. This plane is not the best. We have a good sized forum on the subject. It does fly and fly well if all you like to do is laze around the field. The stock motor is way underpowered. You must get all the speed possible before lift off and then ease into the elevator. Do a search for the J-3 cub by Hobbico on this forum and read through it. Talent 5 has upgraded his with much success to a brushless set up. You will definitely want to reinforce the plane with packing tape or carbon fiber. I used clear packing tape with good results.

The plane is nice to fly around if you understand it's lack of power. It flies scale and is not an aerobat. You can get it to loop and roll with altitude and stall turns are fun as is dead stick landing. Just read the forums and prepare yourself for the first flight. If you have a successful maiden, you will be in the minority.

Hope all goes well.
