Edison,
In Vin's MiG, the retracts are plumbed to the gear valve and the doors are plumbed to the Door 1 valve. Both are connected (up/down, open/closed) per the instruction diagram. The Door 2 valve is not plumbed to anything. Brakes plumbed per instruction diagram. Incidentally, the instructions are not very instructive (such as when do you use the Door 1 valve and the Door 2 valve?) MiG-21s only close the doors when the gear is up, I guessed using the Door 1 valve. Does Door 2 give you doors open - gear retracts - doors close?
Regards,
Jim
Hi Jim,
landing sequences:
Step 1: Door1 and Door2 open at the same time
Step 2: Gear is lowered down
Step 3: Door2 closes (Door1 stays open)
Takeoff sequences:
Step 1: Door2 opens
Step 2: Gear is retracted up
Step 3: Door1 and Door2 close at the same time
The time between each step can be set up.
For planes like F-16, no gear doors need to close when landing, so no need to use Door2 valve.
Yes, Door 2 gives doors open - gear retracts - doors close
Regards,
Edison
