Does anyone have one that can help me program the sequence, gear up doors close. Gear down doors stay open. The instructions are not very clear to me and this thing is getting the best of me today...
Thanks,

Could you descripe more detailedly ( or email me) so that I can help you set the unit.
Thanks!

Hi Edison,
The unit is plumbed exactly like the instructions. I believe i am supposed to set the valve sequence in the advanced mode but there is no step or order in what i am supposed to do first or last or whatever [:@] I just want the doors open with gear down, gear up doors close etc. The brakes work fine and the air pressure and other features are good too. When i switch the retrac lever the door 2 valve that i am not using cycles first, the door 1 cycles and then the gear move up very slowly, all out of time?? ugh... i fiddled with this for hours today. I hope you can tell me exactly what to do with it. I don`t feel too bad my friend Jim Mcewen who is an aerospace engineer gave up on it too...[

First of all, the advanced mode is for adjusting valve position. As for ACU-200, normally we don't need to enter into the advanced mode, which is factory mode and should be applied under special circumstance.
Such planes as F-16, its gear door stays open when landing and colse when takeoff , then no need to connect Door2 valve, just connect to Door1 valve for all doors that need open. Besides, set D2O-GU and GD-D2C to be 0 second.
The valves of the ACU-200 can slow the action of the landing gear, so just set the time a little longer between each step.
Thanks!

Edison,
In Vin's MiG, the retracts are plumbed to the gear valve and the doors are plumbed to the Door 1 valve. Both are connected (up/down, open/closed) per the instruction diagram. The Door 2 valve is not plumbed to anything. Brakes plumbed per instruction diagram. Incidentally, the instructions are not very instructive (such as when do you use the Door 1 valve and the Door 2 valve?) MiG-21s only close the doors when the gear is up, I guessed using the Door 1 valve. Does Door 2 give you doors open - gear retracts - doors close?
Regards,
Jim

landing sequences:
Step 1: Door1 and Door2 open at the same time
Step 2: Gear is lowered down
Step 3: Door2 closes (Door1 stays open)
Takeoff sequences:
Step 1: Door2 opens
Step 2: Gear is retracted up
Step 3: Door1 and Door2 close at the same time
The time between each step can be set up.
For planes like F-16, no gear doors need to close when landing, so no need to use Door2 valve.
Yes, Door 2 gives doors open - gear retracts - doors close

Edison

Just wanted to update this thread i started. I have this unit installed in my new Air World Mig-21 and it works perfect.I had some issues with the volume of air on the retrac valve but this has been modded and all of the newer valves will have larger air openings from the factory. The programming and set up is very easy. The ACU-200 is a good value and does everything the more expensive Airpower unit does. My next project will have one installed too.

Thanks for the feedback of the flight result!
Since the customer reported that the valves acted a little slowly, the factory has made the new valves to have larger air holes to get normal speed.
The quality is always inspected before shipping, so usually customers needn’t worry about the quality.

I have the ACU-200 but one thing that I didn't know before I bought it was that the brake valve was not proportional, I have not used it but hopefully I have no problems using the ABS brake mode...

As Vin has no problem to use it, believe you will have no problem to use it, too.
As per Chinese great person Mr. Deng Xiaoping said, “no matter which cat it is( black cat or white cat), a cat that can catch rats is a good cat”.
Thanks!
