I could never get comfortable with the flaps, so I cut them off and put the full ailerons back on. Its got a great roll rate now on high.
I had no problem deciding to go with the full span aileron setup or with the split quad flap/aileron wing (isn't it nice H9 provides both)? I went for the quad flap/aileron configuration.
On my JR X9303, I have a switch which instantly changes from the half-aileron/flap mode to full span ailerons so, I get the best of both worlds. That switch also enables my flap->elevator mixing. Man, will this thing really do tight loops by coupling flaps!
